This summer, I'm going to South Sudan on a short mission trip with Seed Effect, a Christian nonprofit that gives microfinance loans to South Sudanese entrepreneurs. These entrepreneurs are mostly women who sell agricultural goods. A number of them have HIV.
I'll be in South Sudan from August 2-12. I'll meet these entreprenueurs, provide business training, and pour into their spiritual needs.
I'll also be writing about the experience and photographing what I see.
South Sudan is a country that was ravaged by war. Just this month, fighting broke out in a northern state of South Sudan. Where I am going has been untouched by this violence, but it is still unstable and one of the poorest places in the world.
Because of this, I am having to raise a significant amount of money for this trip. The cost is around $4,500.
I will also be putting together a prayer group to intercede as I travel.
Thank you for taking the time to consider helping me with this trip!
